Established in 2000 by James D. Utterback, Rxcel Partners originally focused on supporting and serving the unmet needs of the Japanese Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology community in the United States.
Today, Rxcel Partners supports Pharma, Biotechnology, Medical Device and Investors with Strategic and Human Capital initiatives as well as outsourcing solutions- including: talent assessment, talent development and Diversity Program priorities.

“Jim” holds advanced degrees in Economics and Industrial Psychology. With over 30 years of experience in Life Sciences, he has held corporate staff roles in HR, Finance, and Corporate Communications as well as General Management/CEO positions in Pharma, CROs and start-up Device and IT product companies serving the clinical trials space. Jim has had P&L responsibility for businesses on 5 continents and has lived in the US, Europe and Africa.

As a strategic marketing expert, Patty excels in collaborating with healthcare and technology organizations to develop market-driven, differentiated products / services, brand preference, effective partnerships, and business results. Based in the Silicon Valley, Patty has spent the past twenty-five years helping both established global leaders and high growth, start-up organizations build focused, well integrated and efficient business and marketing plans. Patty's areas of expertise include: qualitative market research, competitive analysis, corporate/product/ service positioning strategies, brand identity, launch strategies, partner development, mergers and acquisitions, and accountability programs. Patty holds a Masters in Public Administration from Syracuse University. She has served on the Board of Directors for PowerOverCancer, a nonprofit organization based in Monterey, CA, since 2007.
